Access to student records

Due to Family Educational and Right to Privacy Act (FERPA), a student's conduct file and the details of his/her situation cannot be shared with anyone without his/her written permission. If a student wishes to give someone access, the student must sign a release of information. This can be obtained and submitted at the Conflict Resolution and Student Conduct Services office in 200 Lory Student Center.

Conduct Hearings

Students can bring a support person/advisor/observer with them to the hearing, but it is not required. Such person may be an attorney. If someone does accompany the student, s/he is limited to provided counsel to the student and may not act as the student's representative nor speak on his/her behalf.

More information on conduct hearings is available under Services.
